Special Ticket Pricing (Bach’s Christmas Oratorio)

Experience the wonder and excitement of the Christmas story through J. S. Bach’s joyful Christmas Oratorio. A rich cast of characters comes to life in this musical tableau. Mezzo soprano Rachel Wood is the voice of Mary, while tenor Wesley Dunnagan narrates the story as the Evangelist. The choir sings the words of the angels and the shepherds. Some of Bach’s most memorable four-part chorales interpret the meaning of the Christmas story for the faithful, including “Break Forth, O Beauteous Heavenly Light.” The work is framed by ebullient, dance-like choruses featuring virtuoso trumpets, timpani, flutes, oboes, and strings. 

The Wisconsin Chamber Choir is committed to making high quality choral accessible to all members of our community. We understand that it can be difficult to attend live events due to financial constraints, so we are offering discounted tickets for people who have a need for them.
